Many patients undergo coronary CT angiography (CTA), either as part of early screening for atherosclerosis or following a referral from a physician or cardiologist. Yet, in some cases, the CTA report does not definitively answer whether there is a significant narrowing in the coronary arteries. Should the patient proceed to invasive catheterization, or can they safely defer it? Virtual FFR-CT interpretation offers a precise and advanced solution to these questions.
FFR-CT (Fractional Flow Reserve from CT) utilizes cutting-edge, AI-driven technology to simulate blood flow within the coronary arteries visualized on CTA and assess whether any stenosis impairs myocardial perfusion. Not every narrowing visible on CTA significantly affects heart function; FFR-CT quantifies the actual physiological impact of a lesion.
At RDG Imaging, we are proud to be the first healthcare service in Israel to offer advanced cardiac CT interpretation using FFR-CT technology. This innovative service is performed by highly experienced radiologists who specialize in cardiac imaging. By combining clinical expertise, advanced technology, and a comprehensive approach to each patient, we provide accurate and personalized care. We believe that medical decisions should be based on clear evidence not just suspicions. That’s why we offer this cutting-edge service to support safer and more precise medicine.
We work in close collaboration with experts from Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center and the Texas Heart Institute in Houston the leading cardiology centers in the United States. In complex cases, we consult with their specialists to review and discuss challenging findings together.
This collaboration reflects our commitment to giving every patient the best possible care, with precise diagnosis and expert guidance.
Our team also includes an in-house cardiologist. Every case is reviewed by a multidisciplinary team of cardiac imaging and radiology experts, including a senior cardiologist. This approach allows us to deliver a clinically sound and evidence-based interpretation from the very first report.
We carefully review each case to ensure reliable results. FFR-CT is not recommended for patients with:
